Sterling Riggs began his Elvis impersonation career aboard a cruise ship. His show has been a hit ever since. We recently had the pleasure of seeing Sterling's "Tribute to Elvis" Show at the Outer Banks Showcase. The lights went down and the band gave cue to the Vegas styled show at hand.
Donning detailed copies of Elvis's most memorable and elaborate show costumes, Sterling Riggs makes an impressive entry to start the show. Even more appreciated is his God given voice which mirrors Elvis Presley's perfectly. You get lost in the perfectly curried image and a voice we have all heard innumerable times. It is Elvis! That is entertainment; to know you are watching an impersonation that so closely matches the 'King' in voice, body mannerisms and performance choreography that you get lost in the show. Sterling Riggs' Elvis performance is flawless.
His tribute to the 'King' and his performance is from the heart. Elvis left a trail of squeals, oohs, aahs, flirting women and smiles everywhere he went, as does Sterling. Review from the OBXSun.
At a recent performance at the Elk's Club in Norfolk, Riggs sang Presley tunes such as ``Gonna Set My Soul on Fire,'' ``Kissing Cousins'' and ``Are You Lonesome Tonight?''
